AUGUSTA —  Maine Republican officials say Mitt Romney’s brother, Scott Romney, will be the keynote speaker at the party’s convention this weekend.

Scott Romney, the presumptive presidential nominee’s older brother and an attorney in Michigan, is scheduled to speak after Saturday night’s convention dinner. About 3,000 Republicans have registered for the two-day convention, which begins Saturday morning.

The Republicans will select delegates to represent Maine at the National GOP Convention on August 27-30, in Tampa, Fla. They’ll also hear speeches from Gov. Paul LePage and U.S. Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. The six GOP candidates vying for Snowe’s seat will also speak.
