The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches has announced the semifinalists for Mr. and Miss Basketball. The Mr. Basketball finalists are Dustin Cole of Bonny Eagle; Mike McDevitt of Greely; Isaiah Bess and Zach Gilpin of Hampden Academy; Jon Phelps of Mt. Desert Island; Isaiah Stone-Patterson of Oceanside; Trevor Lyford of Penquis Valley; Jayvon Pitts-Young and Justin Zukowski of Portland; Serge Nyirikamba of Waynflete; and Jacob Moody of Wells.

The Miss Basketball semifinalists are Allie Clement and Olivia Smith of McAuley; Emily Quirion of Cony; Nina Davenport of Freeport; Tiana-Jo Carter of Lake Region; Parise Rossignol of Van Buren; Hannah Shaw of Mt. Desert Island, Anna Mackenzie of Nokomis; Raychel Alley of Stearns; and Alison Furness of Wells.

The three finalists in both categories will be announced after the high school tournaments. The winners will be named at the annual Maine McDonald’s All-Star Banquet on Friday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

The all-star teams, coaches, all-academic teams, regional foul shooting champions, the Maine McDonald’s Spirit of the Game Award winner and other honorees will be also be recognized at the banquet.

On Saturday, March 8, the McDonald’s All-Star games will be played at Newman Gymnasium at Husson University.
