CORINTH — Police have identified the victim in a head-on collision between a car and a heating oil truck as a 25-year-old South Berwick man.
Officials said Jason Cynewski was killed when his car crossed the center line on Route 15 in Corinth shortly after noon Wednesday and collided with a C.N. Brown oil delivery truck. Two people in the truck were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Chief Deputy Troy Morton of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department said none of the truck's heating oil spilled, but diesel fuel from the truck's fuel tank had be cleaned up.
The crash remains under investigation.
