The Stanley Cup, the trophy awarded to the Boston Bruins in June, is coming to Maine.

On Sept. 28, Boston Bruins Vice President of Finance Jim Bednarek will bring the trophy to Krista's Restaurant on Main Street in Cornish, said a media release.

Krista's will host an outdoor barbecue celebration from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The event, sponsored by Sebago Brewing Company, is open to anyone who wants to see the trophy.

Krista's will also auction off a dinner for eight people. Bidding closes Sept. 25 and details can be found on the Facebook page of Krista Lair: http://tinyurl.com/6fm2hr2

Proceeds from the auction and some proceeds from the outdoor party will benefit an athletic scholarship.
