Stonewall Kitchen, a York-based food and housewares company, opened its 11th store on Wednesday in Newburyport, Mass.
"Newburyport is a great fit for us," said Janine Somers, marketing director. "It's a charming community that we've been researching for some time. We are excited to participate in local events and share our passion for high-quality specialty foods and home accessories with guests."
Newburyport is the second store location Stonewall Kitchen has opened this quarter.
"It's been a busy year-end," said Somers. "We opened our Nashua company store in the Pheasant Lane Mall this past October ... expanding our retail presence is an integral part of building our brand and will continue to be part of our overall marketing strategy."
In addition to its new locations, Stonewall Kitchen has three stores each in Maine and New Hampshire, as well as two stores in Connecticut and one in Maryland. The company also has manufacturing, retail and wholesale distribution operations.
