SCARBOROUGH — The drummer from The Doors is paying a visit to Maine for Record Store Day.

John Densmore, who’s written a new book, is skipping the traditional book store tour and doing all his promo events at music stores, starting with Bull Moose in Scarborough this Saturday on Record Store Day.

The book, due out this week, is touted as a tell-all focusing his legal battles with the other two surviving Doors. It’s titled, “The Doors: Unhinged (Jim Morrison’s Legacy Goes on Trial).”

Record Store Day was the brainchild of Chris Brown from Bull Moose. Now in its sixth year, it’s evolved into a national and international event celebrating indie music retailers.
