Thornton improves to 5-0

SACO — Thornton Academy improved to 5-0 with a 35-7 win over Scarborough in a match of unbeaten football teams Saturday afternoon.

Andrew Libby scored three touchdowns. The Golden Trojans turned the momentum in their favor in the opening quarter when linebacker Bobby Begin scooped up a fumble and ran 75 yards for a touchdown to make it 7-0.

Thornton led 28-0 before Scarborough (4-1) scored.
