PORTLAND — A temporary traffic light has been installed at the corner of Forest Avenue and Walton Street after a tractor-trailer cut the corner too close and slammed into a traffic pole there, temporarily blocking the road.

The crash happened at 2 a.m., police said. Nobody was injured.

Work at the site has closed one lane on Walton Street but Forest Avenue is unaffected, a city spokeswoman said.
