Traffic has started to move again on Route 201 in Moscow.

Traffic had come to a standstill after a tree and power lines fell down across and blocked the road in Moscow Sunday morning.

A Somerset Count dispatcher said the incident occurred at about 8:15 a.m.

The road is the only route to and from Jackman and the Canadian border crossing. Traffic was backed up for miles. The road remained shut down in both directions until 11 a.m.

No injuries have been reported.

A Central Maine Power crew arrived at the scene shortly after 10:30 a.m.

Gabe Souza, a Portland Press Herald photographer who is at the scene, said the conditions are very windy, which may have caused the tree to fall.
