PORTLAND — State Police are on the scene of a truck crash on Interstate 295 northbound that is causing major delays Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. near Exit 10 in Falmouth and involved a cement truck and a sedan, authorities and witnesses said. There were minor injuries but emergency workers were dealing with a large amount of diesel fuel that spilled.
The crash backed up northbound traffic to Tukeys Bridge in Portland and may have contributed to a crash in the southbound lanes near exit 11 in Falmouth which slowed traffic in that direction.
