A southbound car rolled over on the Maine Turnpike between the Wells and York exits just before 2 p.m. Thursday, and the crash was cleared just after 3:30 p.m., the Maine Turnpike Authority reported.

Nobody was seriously injured, but single lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions were closed and traffic was slow in that area until the site could be cleared, according to the Maine Turnpike Authority and police. The crash occurred at mile 18.

The turnpike authority lowered the speed limit on the turnpike to 45 mph this morning and it remains lowered.

A two-car crash between exits 36 and 42 in Scarborough at 11 a.m. had slowed traffic earlier.
