Two firefighters hurt battling fire at Atlanta airport

An airport spokeswoman says the fire early this morning involved an escalator.

ATLANTA — Authorities say two firefighters have been hurt while battling a fire inside one of the terminals at Atlanta's airport.

Atlanta Fire Rescue spokeswoman Janet Ward tells The Associated Press that the fire early Tuesday morning involved an escalator. She said two firefighters have been taken from the scene with injuries she describes as minor.

There are no reports of any other injuries.

Few other details were immediately available early Tuesday.
