UNH sexual assault reported

University police investigate the alleged dorm assault on a woman who isn't a student.

DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire Police Department is investigating a report of a sexual assault in a campus dormitory.

Police say a woman who is not a student at the Durham school reported that she was assaulted by an unknown man at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in Sawyer Hall.

In a campus crime alert, university police said the suspect is described as being white, having short dark hair and being taller than 5 feet, 7 inches. He was reported to be wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

UNH police did not the release additional details.
