Gregory Rec/Staff Photographer Ryan Rone, 15, points to trees in the backyard of his Westbrook home Friday. Ryan suffers from Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, which causes severe seizures, which is why he has to wear a helmet. He loves the outdoors but could not go outside by himself at his family’s busy Spring Street home for his own safety. That changed Friday with a new 6-foot fence that closes in the backyard, giving Ryan the whole yard to roam by himself. The 320 feet of stockade fence was arranged through Make-A-Wish Maine and sponsored by employees of Diversified Communications.
