As part of a Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife study, Wes Livingston had captured and tagged a female baby moose and was ready to release the animal into the wild.

But the moose chose instead to let Livingston know how she felt about the study.

The moose turned on the man, knocking him to the snow-covered ground, while he filmed the attack.

“You wouldn’t believe I just got my butt kicked by a calf moose,” Livingston says after fending her off. “They build ’em pretty tough in Maine.”
