From staff reports
A benefit tractor pull was hosted Sunday by the Southern Maine Garden Tractor Club in Saco.
The event raised just over $10,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine and also gave Make-A-Wish children the chance to drive the miniature tractors.
“This was one day out of the year where these kids – many of whom have life-threatening illnesses – didn’t have to worry about a thing,” said Ernest Lowell, who helped organize the event, held at his son-in-law’s farm on Boom Road.
