WATERVILLE — Hundreds gathered at the Blessed Hope Advent Christian Church Sunday afternoon to pay tribute to Spc. Wade A. Slack, 21, killed May 6 in Afghanistan.

Wade Slack out of the Blessed Hope Advent Christian Church in Waterville at the conclusion of his funeral Sunday. Slack, 21, specialized in disarming explosives and died of wounds suffered May 6 in indirect fire in Jaghatu, Afghanistan.
