Windham death now ruled suspicious

Police are now saying the death of a Windham man whose body was found Tuesday night is suspicious.

David Harmon, 41, was dropped off at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday by his wife at the corner of Land of Nod Road and Cole Road. He did not return as expected and authorities launched a search. His body was found at the base of an eight-foot ledge at about 9 p.m. Tuesday.

An autopsy was performed Wednesday but police did not release its conclusions, saying only that the results left them with questions they needed to answer.

Police would not say what led them to categorize the death as suspicious. There have been no charges brought in connection with the death.

Police are searching the property off Route 302 where his body was found, not far from where his wife dropped him off. State Police detectives and Windham police are conducting interviews, police said.
