ORLAND — A woman has been hospitalized with burns to her hands following a fire at her camp in East Orland, Maine.
Fire Chief Bob Conary tells WZON radio said firefighters responded at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday. He said it was difficult to get to the camp, which was up on a hill.
Conary said firefighters got their water from the Toddy Pond Dam, but it had to be pumped about 400 feet in elevation.
The state fire marshal’s office has been called in to investigate.
