Woman's body found in Kennebec River

Police in Bath say evidence in the woman's home points to suicide.

BATH — Police suspect suicide in the death of a woman whose body was retrieved from the Kennebec river.

The Times Record says police were alerted Sunday morning about a body in the water.

Police say evidence collected from the woman’s home led them to suspect suicide.

The woman’s body was sent to the state medical examiner’s office for autopsy.
