Photos: They call it puppy love

With their 59-second smooch, Lin Walton of Saco and her little dog Bea, top photo, ran away with the top prize in the dog-kissing contest Wednesday night at Planet Dog's 8th annual Valentine's Day Canine Cocktail Party in Portland.

Coming in second were Erik Boucher of South Portland and his pooch pal Django, bottom photo, a 4-year-old Hungarian Vizsla who gave Boucher what looked like 45-second tongue-lashing.
