MANCHESTER, N.H. – Customers at a bank in Manchester, N.H., tackled a man wearing a surgical mask and gloves who told a teller he was robbing the bank.

Police said the man entered the Citizens Bank at about 11 a.m. Friday and refused to remove the mask when asked by the teller.

He demanded cash.

The man put the money in a bag and headed for the door.

A bank employee tried to stall him asking if he needed assistance, but he kept going.

Police said he was tackled by two brothers who had noticed what was happening as they sat in the waiting area.

They held the man on the floor of the foyer until police arrived.

Police charged the man, identified as 64-year-old David Roberts of Manchester, with robbery.
