The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram will present the third annual Health and Wellness Expo from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks in South Portland. The event is being sponsored by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.

This year’s event also includes a walk to benefit the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. The walk is 2.35 miles (or 1.57 miles for a shorter walk) and will begin at 12:15 p.m.

Admission is either $1 or a non-perishable food item to be donated to Good Shepherd Food Bank.

The event will include a community health and wellness expo and an awards presentation. The expo is aimed at educating members of the community about healthier living through seminars, free health screenings and interactive displays.

Awards will be presented to Health Care Heroes for world-class care they offer in Maine every day.

“We are pleased to again present the Health and Wellness Expo,” said Lisa DeSisto, publisher of the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram. “The event gives attendees tips and information on how to live a healthier lifestyle and also helps two terrific local organizations — the Good Shepherd Food Bank and the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital — who help people every day of the year.”
