State Police are investing the death of a man Sunday morning in Corinth.

Christopher Darner, 37, of Corinth died after he entered the home of his estranged wife at 87 Beans Mill Road, said Steve McCausland, Department of Public Safety spokesman.

State Police detectives said another man, Kirth Damon Jr., 24, of Searsport, was stabbed during the 2:30 a.m. incident at the house. Damon was treated and released from Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

The home is occupied by Miranda Darner, 22, Darner’s estranged wife, who was at home during the incident. Miranda Darner had a protection order against her estranged husband.

Also at the home was Zachary Joseph, 21, of Belfast. Neither Miranda Darner nor Joseph was injured.
Detectives are continuing to investigate. No one has been arrested or charged and the three others in the home have cooperated fully with investigators, McCausland said.

An autopsy will be performed on Darner Monday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta.
