FREEPORT — More than two dozen inns, hotels and resorts in Maine are offering half-off deals this spring to benefit Habitat for Humanity.
The Maine Innkeepers Association's annual "Hospitality for Habitat" fundraiser offers visitors 50 percent off room rates at participating establishments between April 22 and May 23 in exchange for a $35 donation to Habitat for Humanity.
Since the fundraiser was started in 2004, the association has raised more than $100,000 to help build homes for Maine families.
