Army National Guard Pvt. Josh M. VanHise has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. VanHise is the son of Oliver VanHise of Windham and Jennifer Hamel, and stepson of Daniel Hamel, of Hartland, Vt. He is a 2010 graduate of Windsor, Vt., High School.
