Missing woman is found dead

Police discover the body of Kelly Winslow, 30, of Limington while searching off Route 26 in Upton.

From staff reports

State police are investigating what they called the suspicious death of a Limington woman whose body was found was found Friday near the New Hampshire border in Oxford County.

Police found the body of Kelly Winslow, 30, Friday afternoon off Route 26 in Upton, said Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Winslow's husband had reported her missing from their home on Mike's Way in Limington on Thursday night. McCausland said Winslow's husband has been interviewed by detectives and is not a suspect in her death.

McCausland said he did not know the husband's name.

He said police searched several locations on Friday, though he declined to say why they chose those locations.

State Medical Examiner Dr. Margaret Greenwald arrived late Friday at the site along Route 26 where Winslow's body was found.

The body was taken to Greenwald's office in Augusta. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.

McCausland said investigators are looking to Greenwald to determine how Winslow died. He declined to release more information Friday night.
