Amish farmer Samuel Beechy wields a pitchfork as other men use lumber to guide ice blocks through a sluice and onto a conveyor after cutting the ice Thursday on a pond in Unity. Dairy farmer Ray Zimmerman said the ice will be used at Palmer Hill Farm in Thorndike to cool the organic raw milk, cream and butter produced and sold at the Amish farm.
