Police Use of Deadly Force in Maine 1990-2012

This database, drawn from records at the Attorney General's Office, includes all incidents in which a person was shot at, injured or killed by Maine police agencies, or in which a person committed suicide in the course of an armed confrontation with Maine police, dating back to 1990. All such incidents must by investigated by the Attorney General, under Maine law. However, reports on many of the older investigations listed here are stored in the state archives, and are not readily available.
