I am confused.

No, not by the bombs set off at the Boston Marathon, but by the editorial in this paper’s April 17 edition (“Our View: After Boston tragedy, let true patriotism reign“).

In case someone missed that editorial, it simply stated, “We should resist the temptation to point fingers or support questionable curbs on our rights.”

Really?

Talk about double talk from a prominent paper in Maine.

Is this the same paper that has no problem restricting our rights to own guns because of what happened at Newtown, Conn.?

Where are their editorials against members of Congress supporting gun-control legislation?

I learned at a young age from my parents that I couldn’t have it both ways. It’s obvious to me that others haven’t learned that.
