Blood drives

The following American Red Cross blood drives are open to the public:


9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Stonewall Kitchen, York

Noon to 6 p.m., North Parish Church, Sanford


Noon to 6 p.m., Freeport Community Center, Freeport

1 to 6 p.m., St. Mary's Church, Wells


10 a.m. to 4 p.m., University of Southern Maine, Gorham

Noon to 5 p.m., University of Maine, Farmington

1 to 6 p.m., American Legion Hall, Rockland


Noon to 6 p.m., Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington


9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Vacationland Bowling, Saco

April 29

7 a.m. to noon, St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Lewiston

10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Southern Maine Community College, South Portland

The Portland Donor Center, 524 Forest Ave., is open noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston is open noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fridays.

Platelet donors also are needed. Donations are by appointment. For information, call 775-2367 or 1 (800) 482-0743.
