Day trip to Rockland
Kennebunkport Parks & Recreation will offer an adult day trip to Farnsworth Museum of Rockland on Thursday.
Transportation is via bus, set to depart from 30 North St. at 10 a.m. with a stop at Moody's Diner for lunch. Cost is $20 for the trip and attendees are responsible for their own lunch expenses.
Checks should be made payable to K'Port Parks & Recreation and mailed to P.O Box 566, Kennebunkport, Maine 04046. Receipt of payment will reserve a seat on the bus as space allows.

Auction, antiques appraisal
The First People Plus Antiques Road Show & Live Auction will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the auction beginning at 4 p.m., Saturday at 35 Union St.
The morning event will feature antiques appraisals for $5 per item, and cider and doughnuts.
The live auction will include wine, cheese and a variety of auction items.
Proceeds raised will directly benefit the Volunteer Transportation Network to provide free rides for homebound residents.
Crafts fair seeks crafters
Crafters are being sought to participate in the annual Mid Coast Senior Health Center Crafts Fair to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter.
The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at 56 and 58 Baribeau Drive.
Tables are available to rent for $15 each.
To reserve a table, call Sally Fitch at 373-3691 or mail a check to: Mid Coast Senior Health Center, 58 Baribeau Drive, Brunswick, attention: Sally Fitch. All table fees, as well as sales from chowder, will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
Driver safety for seniors
Sign-ups are being taken through Nov. 2 for an AARP Driver Safety Class for drivers age 50 and older. The class is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the AARP Maine State Office, 1685 Congress St.
The registration fee will be waived for all military veterans and their dependents.
The registration fee is $12 for AARP members and $14 for all others.

A Halloween party for dogs
Planet Dog's Eighth Annual Halloween Party will feature free, spooky brew and slimy drool along with a Best Home-Made Costume Contest from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Planet Dog Company Store at 211 Marginal Way.
Prizes will be given to the top three winners.
Free beer and refreshments will be served along with dog treats for four-legged trick-or-treaters.

Hall to speak at Log Cabin
Local historian and teacher Alan Hall will speak at the Yarmouth Historical Society Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Monday at the Log Cabin, located at 196 Main St.
Hall will discuss four phases of Yarmouth's past.
Living Well workshops
Three six-week Living Well for Better Health workshops, designed to teach healthier alternatives for people with chronic conditions, will be held during November and December.
Session 1 will meet from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Nov. 1 to Dec. 13 at Maine Medical Center, 272 Congress St., Portland.
Session 2 will meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 2 to Dec. 7 at MaineHealth LRC, 100 Campus Drive, Scarborough.
Session 3 will meet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 6 to Dec. 18 at Casco Bay YMCA, 14 Old South Freeport Road, Freeport.
