Military Notes

Marine Corps Pvt. Emanuel A. Carlista, son of Robert Carlista Jr., of Freeport, has graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. Carlista is a 2011 graduate of Freeport High School.

Marine Corps Pvt. Benjamin T. Martin, son of Deanna Martin of Limington and David Martin of Steep Falls, has graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. Martin is a 2011 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School, Buxton.

Sampson Air Force Veterans Association's Southern Maine Squadron will meet at noon on Sept. 13 at Dunstan School Restaurant, 591 Route 1, Scarborough. Sampson veterans and their guests are welcome at the informal get-together. For details, contact Bob Sawyer at wwmtkwkr@aol.com or phone 657-4909.
