Army Spec. Noah P. Southwick, and Army Sgt. Kurtis D. Milgrom, assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, have returned to the United States after being deployed overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Southwick, an infantryman, is the son of Steve Southwick of Standish. Milgrom is a team leader who has served in the military for five years. His wife, Savannah, is the daughter of Bill Alward of Limington.

Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Marc R. Chabot, son of Patricia Guenthner of Standish, was recently promoted to his current rank while serving with Marine Combat Training Battalion, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Chabot is a 1993 graduate of Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School of Franklin, Mass., and joined the Marine Corps in July 1993.
