Wednesday

Meatball sub, fries, dessert, 5 to 6:30 p.m., VFW Post 832, 50 Peary Terrace, South Portland. Per person: $6.

Soup supper, 5 to 7 p.m., fifth annual Keep South Berwick Warm benefit supper at Spring Hill Restaurant, Pond Road, South Berwick. Donation.

Thursday

Community meal with ham, mashed potatoes, noon, Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church, 810 Main St., Westbrook. Suggested donation: $5.

Friday

Friday lunch, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., North Deering Congregational Church, 1364 Washington Ave., Portland. Haddock chowder: $8; lobster roll: $7.50; egg salad: $4.50; other items available; free delivery for 10 or more orders.

Saturday

Hunter's breakfast, 5 to 9 a.m., Cressey Road United Methodist Church, Gorham. Free with donations accepted to benefit a mission trip.

Ham, vegetables, dessert, 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., Veterans Day dinner and Civil War program. Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, 290 Norlands Road, Livermore. Space is limited and reservations are required. Call 897-4366 by Wednesday for tickets. Per person: $20.

Lasagna, meatloaf, shepherd's pie, 4:45 p.m., Highland Lake Grange, Route 302 and Hardy Road, Westbrook. Adults: $8; children under 12: $4.

Beans, macaroni and cheese, dessert, 5 to 6 p.m., First Parish Church, 40 Main St., Freeport. Adults: $8; children: $4.

Annual chicken pie supper, dessert, seatings at 5 and 6:30 p.m., Prides Corner Congregational Church, 235 Pride St., Westbrook. Adults: $10; children under 10: $5.

Roast pork supper, 5 to 7 p.m., St. Denis Parish Hall, Route 126, Grand Army Road, North Whitefield. Donation.

Annual harvest supper, 5 to 7 p.m., and pie baking contest. Community Center, 32 School St., Unity. Suggested donation: $7 to $15. Contact Unity Barn Raisers at 948-9005 for details.

Sunday

Veterans Day meal, 1 p.m., free for veterans in the Gray-New Gloucester area at American Legion Post 86, 15 Lewiston Road, Gray. Reservations are required and space is limited to the first 100 to call. Call Agnes Stansfield at 657-3766 to sign up. American Legion membership is not necessary to attend.

Turkey dinner, dessert, 2 to 5 p.m., Lion's Club, 128 Saco Ave., Old Orchard Beach. Free.
