Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving dinner, 1 to 3 p.m., 17th annual dinner at V.F.W. Post 832 and Military Museum, 50 Peary Terrace, South Portland. Call 767-2575 to reserve a dinner or for transportation.

Thanksgiving meal, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., 14th annual Knights of Columbus dinner, held at Most Holy Trinity Hall, Main Street, Saco. Takeout available. Free; donations welcome.

Eighth annual Thanksgiving dinner, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., meal delivery and rides are available for residents in Saco, Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach. United Methodist Church, Old Orchard Beach. Call 934-5553 for more information. The meal is free; donations are welcome to help defray costs.

Community Thanksgiving dinner, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., provided by Wayside Food Programs and United Way of Greater Portland at the Portland Club, 156 State St., Portland. Free.

Friday

Friday lunch, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., North Deering Congregational Church, 1364 Washington Ave., Portland. Haddock chowder: $8; lobster roll: $7.50; egg salad: $4.50; other items available; free delivery for 10 or more orders.

Saturday

Hunter's breakfast, 5 to 9 a.m., Cressey Road United Methodist Church, Gorham. Free with donations accepted to benefit a mission trip.

Beans, casseroles, salad, dessert, 4:30 to 6 p.m., Christ Chapel, 37 Northern Pines Road, off Route 85, Raymond. Free and open to all in surrounding towns.

Beans, casseroles, dessert, 4:30 to 6 p.m., Elm Street United Methodist Church, 168 Elm St., South Portland. Adults: $8; children: $4; family: $20.

Baked beans, macaroni and cheese, pie, 5 to 6:30 p.m., sponsored by First Parish Congregational Church, 116 Main St., Yarmouth. Adults: $8; children: $4.
