    Joshua Behrens of Kennebunk, son of Jeff and Debbi Behrens, is a member of the Math Team, Robotics Team, Captains’ Club and NHS. He is a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, an AP National Scholar, and Managing Editor of the Rampage. He is Captain of the Tennis Team and Ski team, is active at Sea Road Church, and serves monthly at the Bon Appetit community meal program. Josh plans to study Engineering at Virginia Tech.

    Calvin Beneck of Kennebunk, son of Mary Hunt and John Beneck, has been a 4-year member of the cross country, track and field, and math teams. He has also been a 2-year member of the NHS. He plans to study at the University of Chicago in the Class of 2017 and hopes for a career at the Federal Reserve afterwards.

    David Cavagnaro of Kennebunk is the son of Ben and Mary Cavagnaro. David served as captain of the KHS robotics team. He was also a member of Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, and Pit Orchestra. He participated in Model State Legislature, math team, and tennis team. David is a National Honor Society member and a National Merit Finalist, and he received the Yale Book Award. David will attend Dartmouth College to study mechanical engineering.

    Sophia Gaulkin of Kennebunk, daughter of Terri Ridlon and the late Zack Gaulkin, is the editor-in-chief of the Rampage newspaper and has been an intern at the Journal Tribune for two years. She is also the treasurer of Student Council and participated in Mock Trial, Model UN, Captains’ Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Ultimate Frisbee, and four theater productions. Sophie plans to attend Hamilton College in the fall.

    Colby Harrison of Kennebunk, son of Daniel and Lisa Harrison, has currently completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. He has had leadership roles in the KHS Interact Club and KHS Senate. He is most well-known for his participation in theater, as well as founding and running the KHS Varsity Improv Team. He has raised over $1,500 for the KHS Drama Department since the club’s beginning his sophomore year. Colby will attend Bates College in the fall.

    Samuel Hickson of Kennebunk, son of Ruth and Michael Hickson, has fulfilled the position of secretary for both National Honor Society and Political Affairs Club, as well as participated in Captains Club. His extracurricular achievements include playing doubles on the varsity tennis team for two consecutive years, participating in Model UN, attending multiple Choral District I Honors festivals, along with maintaining active participation in the theater department at KHS. Sam plans to attend Wheaton College in the fall of 2013.

    Katelyn Hirst of Kennebunkport, daughter of Wanda Daggett and Michael Hirst, is a member of the National Honor Society. She has participated in community service through the KHS Interact Club and school musicals. Over the past four years, she has won numerous awards in the Scholastic Art Competition. Katelyn received the Wellesley Book Award and the RIT Innovation & Creativity Award. She plans to attend Emmanuel College next year to pursue an education in English & literature and the fine arts.

    Matthew Inglis of Kennebunk, son of Jan Inglis, is the President of the Student Council, the Founder and President of FBLA, and an acolyte at Saint David's Episcopal Church. He is also a member of the Ultimate Frisbee Team, Math Team, and Academic Competition Club at KHS. Additionally, Matthew was KHS's Ambassador at Maine Youth Leadership his sophomore year. He plans to attend Washington and Lee University in Virginia in the fall.

    Sabrina Kayser of Kennebunk, daughter of Steve Kayser and Manuela Lorenzi-Kayser, is KHS’s valedictorian. She is a four-year member of the cross country team and a captain, attended the Maine Model State program as the Senate Chair of Education, is a member of Mock Trial, Model UN, National Honor Society and Captains’ Club, and is both a Harvard Book Award and Society of Women Engineers Award recipient. Sabrina plans to enroll in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

    Kimberlee Keithley lives in Kennebunk with her mother, Ann MacAusland. Her father is Kevin Keithley. She is KHS’s Salutatorian. She is a member of the Interact Club, plays Varsity tennis, and is a member of the robotics team and math team. She has participated in Model UN and Model State. Kimberlee plans to study Chemical Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall.

    Sierra C. Kuun of Kennebunk is the daughter of Rosemary and Thomas Kuun. She is Captain of the Tennis Team and Cross Country Team. Sierra is involved in National Honor Society, Mock Trial Team, Model United Nations, Model State, Robotics Team, and Wind Ensemble. During the past three summers, Sierra has participated in the Junior Volunteer program at Southern Maine Medical Center. She received the Cornell Book Award and is an AP Scholar. Sierra plans to attend the University of Maine on the Pulp and Paper Foundation Scholarship to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering.

    Trevor Luck of Kennebunk, son and stepson of Lorraine Swenson and Boyd Swenson, has been an active member of the KHS community. Captaining the Track & Field team, he attained the title of State High Jump Champion in 2012. Co-founder of the Improv Club, he has also been Kennebunk’s proud “Bunky the Ram” since the fall of his Junior year. Trevor plans to study pre-medicine at Muhlenberg College as a Dana Scholar this Fall.

    Nicholas Manuel of Kennebunk, son of Mike and Cathy Manuel, has been a member of Captains’ Club, volunteered for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, and plays drums for the band Apex. He participated in baseball, served as a co-captain of the hockey team, and was named to the SMAA All-Academic Team for hockey for 3 seasons. Nick has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship from Endicott College where he will major in computer science.

    Kristen R. Metevier of Kennebunk is the daughter of Susan and Randy Metevier, is a member of the National Honor Society, Captains’ Club, French Club, and multiple service organizations to include volunteering at the Carlisle Academy whose mission is to deliver Equine Therapy to transform lives through horses. Kristen was Captain of the Varsity Soccer team (3 Yrs. V, 1 yr. JV), a member Varsity Track and Field (2 yrs.) where she was selected as most improved athlete, and received Scholar / Academic Athlete awards for four consecutive years. Kristen plans to attend the University of Maine in Orono, College of Economics.

    Cassandra J. Moreno, of Kennebunk, daughter of Chris and Laurie Moreno, is Captain of the Model UN team, Co-Captain of the Mock Trial team, Vice President of Student Council, and a member of the National Honor Society. She was awarded the top honor of Best Delegate at MIT’s 2012 Model UN Conference. Cassie has been very active in theatre at KHS, as well as at the Arundel Barn Playhouse. She plans to study theatre at Northeastern.

    Mackenzie Rowe of Kennebunk, daughter of Jeff and Cathy Rowe, is a member of National Honor Society, Captains’ Club, and Peer Helpers. Mackenzie participated in Model State Legislature, Mock Trial, and was Vice-President of the KHS Political Affairs Club. She was captain of the KHS alpine ski team and was a Scholar Athlete. Mackenzie was the student representative for the district-wide Prevention Activities Team, as well as the KHS Mentoring Committee. She received the Brandeis Book Award and is an IB student and AP scholar. Mackenzie plans to attend Quinnipiac University to study Political Science.

    Nathan Ruel of Kennebunk, son of Andrew and Dana Ruel, has been a member of the lacrosse team at KHS for four years and has also participated in soccer and the agility club. He volunteers for the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust maintaining mountain bike trails in the summer. He is also the bass player for Apex Band which performed at Senior Cabaret Night. Nathan will attend the University of Maine this Fall to study Civil Engineering.

    Matthew Christopher Upham of Kennebunk, son of Susan and Paul Upham, is a member of the KHS Interact Club, National Honor Society and the KHS Tennis Team. He has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America since 3rd grade, and he is an Eagle Scout. Matthew has been on an International Service Trip to Guatemala with the KHS Interact Club, where he helped build a house and install water filtration systems. He is an AP Scholar and plans to study Civil Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

    Carson Wagor of Kennebunkport, daughter of Peggy and David Wagor, is a member of the Executive Council, National Honor Society, Peer Helpers and is an IB scholar. Athletic activities have included both lacrosse and soccer. Carson will attend the University of Vermont with an undecided major on a pre-med track planning to continue her education in medical school after the completion of undergraduate school.

    Simon A. Wentworth of Kennebunk, son of Leslie Allen and Theron Wentworth, is a member of the National Honor Society, 4 year member of KHS Math Team, Wind Ensemble, KHS First Tech Robotics Team and Model UN. Simon is a JHU CTY scholar, and recently participated in Thinking Matters at USM. He has been a volunteer and teen advisor at Kennebunk Free Library and a KHS department aide in math and science. Academic honors include AP Scholar with Distinction and College of the Atlantic Book Award. Simon will be attending George Washington University’s Honors Program in the fall with plans to study Biology and Cancer Genetics.
