    Valedictorian Savanna Arral
    Savanna is the daughter of Tammy Macedo of Limerick, and Bruce Arral of Hollis. Savanna has been the Class Treasurer all four years. Her sophomore year she co-founded the Student Leadership Team, received the School-Wide Student Leadership Award and was a guest speaker for RISC. Her Junior year she received the Phi Beta Kappa Award, and the Advanced Placement Scholar Award. She participated in Girl's State, Maine Youth Action Network, and RISC. Her Senior year she became Student Council Secretary and National Honor Society President. In addition, Savanna has played Varsity Soccer for three years; chosen captain and All Academic Team her Senior year, and Varsity Track and Field for two years. She was also First Runner Up in Miss Teen Portland her sophomore year. Savanna will be attending Harvard College for a concentration in psychology and a secondary field in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She plans to eventually go to law school and become a guardian ad litem and civil rights lawyer.

    Salutatorian Cassandra Hamann
    Cassandra is the daughter of Donna and Denis Hamann of Lyman. Cassandra's freshman, sophomore, and junior year she was an Honor Cadet and Outstanding Cadet in NJROTC. She received the American Legion Scholastic Medal and the Navy League Theodore Roosevelt and Youth Medal. Her sophomore and junior year she was on the math team, and the student leadership team. She participated in the academic decathlon her sophomore year and received the Student Wide Student Leadership Award. Cassandra's junior year she was in National Honor Society and the Venture Crew #271. Her senior year she participated in an early college program at Clarkson University where she completed her first year of college while meeting graduation requirements at MHS. She was in the honors program at Clarkson. She received the AFROTC scholarship, the Kristine M. Layn Endowed Scholarship, and the Clarkson School Scholars Award. Cassandra will continue to study at Clarkson University as a sophomore Aeronautical Engineering Major. She will be doing research at the university this summer. She plans to pursue a commission in the U.S. Air Force.

    Honor Essayist Ryan Dodge
    Ryan is the son of Nancy and Douglas Dodge of Shapleigh. He has volunteered over 300 hours of community service throughout high school including the Maine Children's Cancer Program, Basketball Youth Camp Counselor, Baseball Clinic Volunteer and an ER volunteer at Goodall Hospital. His love of basketball has earned him numerous awards. As a Freshman he was voted captain and earned the Coaches Award of the JV team. During his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years he was on the varsity squad and earned SMAA All Academic Team honors all three years and selected as Captain his Junior and Senior years. During his Senior, Ryan earned additional recognition by being awarded the 2012 SMAA Citizenship Award, SMAA Honorable Mention Team, SMAA All-Star Team, All York County 1st Team for Basketball and Varsity Basketball MVP. Earning high academic honors throughout high school, Ryan was inducted to National Honor Society as a Junior as well as being selected for the Dartmouth Book Award. Ryan is attending Springfield College and studying to become a Physician Assistant.

    Ryan Audy
    Ryan is the son of Minako and Richard Audy of Lyman Maine. He is a consistent high honor roll student earning awards in Pre Calculus, German, Geometry, and Music Theory. His outstanding academic & extracurricular involvement were recognized by earning the Colby College Book Award. In addition to his exemplary academic career, Ryan has been a member of the Swim Team, Jazz Band, Debate & Math Teams. Working towards his goal of becoming an engineer, he will be attending the University of Maine at Orono in the fall.

    Rachel Beyea
    Rachel is the daughter of Amy and Roger Beyea of Shapleigh, Maine. Rachel is a member of the National Honors Society, Amnesty International, and Culture Club. Her other interests were Tae Kwon Do, and playing the violin. Rachel has plans to attend Husson University in the fall.

    Lucas Bolender
    Lucas is the son of Catherine and Dan Bolender. He was a member of the Swim Team all four high school years, and the tennis his junior year. Lucas plans to study Math and Economics at Colby College.

    Arlyn Boulard
    Arlyn is the daughter of Lisa and Tim Boulard, of Waterboro, Maine. She participated in Ski Bus her first three years of high school. In addition she was a member of the Track & Field Team her Sophomore and Junior years earning her recognition to the SMAA All Academic Team. Her Junior and Senior year she was a member of the Culture Club. Senior year Arlyn was selected to the National Honor Society. Arlyn has plans to attend Colby Sawyer College in the fall to study Early Childhood Education.

    Matthew Bullard
    Matthew is the son of Elizabeth and Robert Bullard, of Alfred, Maine. Matthew has been an active member of his school and community. He was a member of the Student Council for four years and was President of Student Council for two of those years. He was a member of the National Honor Society for two years and was President of the Leo's Club for two years. He was also a member of the MHS Student Leadership Team for two years, a member of the NEASC Reaccreditation Committee for Massabesic High School, and a People to People Student Ambassador. Matthew also participated in soccer, basketball, and track all four years of high school and was named captain of both the soccer and tennis teams his senior year. In addition to his many activities, Matthew has won many awards for his endeavors such as School Wide Student Leader Award and the Lions Club Youth Recognition Award given for contributions in the area of community service. Matthew will be attending Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, in the fall.

    Samuel Chaves
    Samuel is the son of Nancy and Helio Chaves, of Alfred, Maine. During high school, Sam was busy in both sports and other activities, participating in basketball, football, and track all four years of high school, mainly playing on the Varsity teams for each sport, acting as an Adaptive Physical Education Leader for handicapped students, participating in the Leo's Club, and carrying out the duties of Greeter at the Lakeside Community Church where his family attends. In addition, his Sophomore year, Sam was Class President and a member of the All Academic Team, and he was a member of the All Scholastic Teams his Junior and Senior years. Senior year, Sam was the captain for both the Varsity Football and Basketball Teams, named All Conference Fullback, was a Semifinalist for the Fitzpatrick Trophy, and earned the National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete Award. Sam will be attending Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont, in the fall on a three year Army ROTC Scholarship.

    Alyssa Davis
    Alyssa is the daughter of Kelly and Gib Davis, of North Waterboro, Maine. She has been an active participant of the Scarborough Dance Center all four years. Alyssa has won several scholarships to National Competitions and numerous first place awards. She has been a valued member of the Yearbook Staff and was elected for National Honor Society her Junior year. Through her church, Alyssa has done volunteer work in Raleigh, North Carolina. She will be attending Emmanuel College in the fall.

    Lindsay Decker
    Lindsay is the daughter of Holly Isaacson of Shapleigh and James Decker of Lyman. She has played Field Hockey throughout her four years, her Junior and Senior year on the Varsity squad. Lindsay was a member of the Varsity Swim Team all four years, Captain and MVP her Senior year. A three year member of Odyssey of The Mind, the team made it to the World Finals twice. In addition, she was a member of the Math Team, National Honor Society and the Culture Club. She volunteered at the Parson's Memorial Library and received the College of The Atlantic Book Award her Junior year. When not involved in school activities, Lindsay is a hostess at The Steakhouse in Wells. She will be attending Lycoming College to major in Archeology.

    Tori Doty
    Tori is the daughter of Stephanie and Keith Doty, of Alfred, Maine. She has been an active participant in the girls Soccer program all four years and Basketball for three. Tori was selected as a member of the National Honor Society her Junior year as well becoming a member of Leo Club. Her Senior year, Tori was elected Treasurer of Leo Club, and earned a Youth Recognition Award from the Lions's Club. Tori is attending Colby Sawyer in the fall where she is enrolled in their Pre-Vet program. After completing the program, she hopes to apply to the University of Florida where she will earn her Veterinary Degree and Certification in Aquatics.

    Nathan Elmore
    Nathan is the son of Winona and Michael Elmore of Waterboro, Maine. As a Freshman, Nathan was Class Vice President and volunteered with Mission Raleigh, which he continued his Sophomore year. In addition Nate became involved with Maine Youth Leadership, serving as Ambassador, Junior Counselor, and Master of Ceremonies. His Junior year he was Class Vice President as well as the Student School Board Representative, which he served on for two years. Senior year, Nate was elected Class President. He will be attending the University of New England where he enrolled in their new Dental Program. He plans to complete his DMD in seven years and then become a Pediatric Dentist.

    Mark Gillis
    Mark is the son of Carol and Gen Gillis of Limerick, Maine. Mark has been a Lacrosse manager all four high school years. He also participated in golf team junior and senior year, winning Most Improved Player for his junior year.Mark also managed the hockey team his last three years, winning the SMAA All Academic Team award his Senior year. In his spare time he volunteered at the Line Elementary School. Mark plans to go to the University of Maine to pursue a degree in civil engineering and go on to law school.

    Stephanie Guay
    Stephanie is the daughter of Linda and James Guay of Alfred, Maine. She has been a three season athlete all four years of high school, playing Soccer, Basketball and Lacrosse. Athletic awards include SMAA All Academic Team, US Lacrosse High School All Academic Team, and Varsity Soccer Captain her Senior year. She has accumulated over 140 community service hours volunteering as an AP Chemistry Lab Assistant, Youth Lacrosse and Basketball Coach, and Teacher's Aide at Carl Lamb School. She was selected as a member of National Honor Society her Junior year and is a member of Sanford Leader's Club. She will be attending Western New England University, majoring in Pharmacy

    Kevin Hutchens
    Kevin is the son of Kathy and Dan Hutchens of Waterboro, Maine. During the summer, Kevin is a volunteer counselor and canoe instructor at Camp Laughing Loon. Kevin also volunteers many hours of his time helping with go-cart races. He got his own start in go-cart racing when he was nine, and Kevin is now a competitive stock car driver. In his junior year, he raced at Loudon Race Track in New Hampshire for the first time. Kevin has been a member of the Massabesic soccer team for four years, and is a member of National Honor Society. Kevin plans to attend the University of Southern Maine majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

    Ciera Lamontagne
    Ciera is the daughter of Kathleen Williams and Ricky Lamontagne of Waterboro, Maine. Among her many volunteer activities; Ciera has volunteered at the Animal Welfare Society and at Goodall Hospital, and raised funds for The Circle of Giving Cancer Patient Resources. A member of the lacrosse team, Ciera was forced to resign from the team because of injury. Instead, Ciera devoted her energies to becoming an assistant coach for 7th and 8th graders her junior and senior years of high school. Ciera was awarded a full scholarship from the New England School of Osteopathic Medicine to attend the National Youth Forum of Medicine. As a member of the MHS Debate Team, Ciera won second place in state competition and was captain of the Debate Team her junior year. Ciera was a Dirigo Girls State representative her junior year, and will be a Girls State counselor this year. She is a member of National Honor Society. Ciera will be attending the University of Maine at Orono, Honors College and plans to become a veterinarian.

    Libby Langlois
    Libby is the daughter of Sally and Lawrence Langlois of Limerick, Maine. Libby is a member of National Honor Society and Math Team. As a freshman, Libby volunteered at a day care, and worked with special needs children. For the past two years, Libby has been a volunteer counselor at Camp Laughing Loon. Libby won the Williams College Book Award her junior year. Libby worked part time at The House of Pizza during the school year. Libby will attend Emmanuel College in Boston in the fall.

    Samuel LaRiviere
    Samuel is the son of Martha and Wayne LaRiviere of Waterboro, Maine. Sam is the treasurer for the National Honor Society, and has received the Maine Principals Association Academic All-American Award for the past several years. Sam is one of the top swimmers in the state, competing as a member of the M.H.S. swim team and through the YMCA Titan Team. Among his many swimming achievements, Sam has been a New England finalist all four years of high school and a YMCA National Qualifier in 2011 and 2012. He is also a member of the high school lacrosse team. Sam is an Eagle Scout and was a Boy Scout Senior Patrol leader throughout high school. Sam is also active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a member of the church youth group the Bishops Youth Committee, and the Stake Youth Committee. Sam will attend Springfield College majoring in Physical Therapy.

    Holly Ledoux
    Holly is the daughter of Pamela and Norman Ledoux of Waterboro, Maine. Holly has volunteered over 100 hours of community service. Service activities include coaching Filly Lacrosse, being a teacher aid at Waterboro Middle School, and volunteering in many church activities at St. Matthews. Holly is on the varsity team in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. She was captain of the soccer and basketball teams, and received a Southern Maine Athletic Association All-Academic Award each year of high school. Holly received the St. Thomas Book Award her junior year, and participated in Dirigo Girls State. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Holly plans to attend Simmons College, double majoring in graphic design and marketing/advertising.

    Marjorie Lee
    Marjorie is the daughter of Eileen and Gregory Lee of Waterboro, Maine. Recently, Marjorie received the Lions Club Youth Recognition Award in recognition of exemplary community service. She has received the Silver Award, the Girl Scouts' second highest award, for her work with younger scouts. Her many community service activities include volunteering with Special Olympics as a basketball coach and event volunteer, being an adaptive physical education aid, and serving as the nursery school coordinator for a local church. Maggie has been active in St. Matthews Youth Ministry. She attended Dirigo Girls State, and received the SMAA All-Academic Award. Maggie is a member and captain of the cross-county and track teams. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Marjorie will be attending the University of Maine in Orono, Honors College, with a double major in Mass Communications and Marketing.

    Ashlend Mastrangelo
    Ashlend is the daughter of Joanne and Christopher Mastrangelo of West Newfield, Maine. Ashlend has been involved in Odyssey of the Mind since her freshman year. Her team has competed at the World Finals representing the state of Maine three years in a row. She is secretary of the Drama Club, and has participated in the district one-act play competitions. Ashlend has been a member of the M.H.S. Chorus and Chamber Choir, and participated in Districted One Music Festival her sophomore and junior years of high school. She also was a member of the Culture Club her senior year. Ashlend is involved in the Gifted and Talented program, and has made Honor/High Honor roll every term in high school. Ashlend is joining the United State Navy upon graduation.

    Brian Moore
    Brian is the son of Kim Moore of Waterboro, Maine. Since the spring of his sophomore year, Brian has volunteered in an Emergency Room at Goodall Hospital. As president of the MHS chapter of Amnesty International, Brian has worked to help raise awareness of international human rights issues. Brian attended the Maine Youth Leadership Conference in 2010, and returned as a junior counselor the following year at the organization's request. Brian participates in the Upward Bound program. He is a member of the Math Team and National Honor Society. Brian will attend Bowdoin College to study Mathematics and Physics.

    Emily Schatz
    Emily is the daughter of Jill and Lee Schatz, of Lyman, Maine. She has accumulated over 100 hours of community service while volunteering at Lyman Parks and Recreation. Emily has been a three sport athlete all four years participating in soccer, Basketball, and Softball. She has won numerous athletic awards including SMAA 2nd Team Softball for three years, SMAA All Academic Team for all three sports and numerous individual Softball Awards. Recognition for Softball includes MVP, Softball Coaches Association Underclassman, All Star Team, and Maine Sunday Telegram All State Selection,. Emily was the recipient of the St. Michael's College Book Award her Junior year. In addition she is a member of the National Honor Society and Leo Club Secretary. Emily plans to attend Colby College to major in Biology.

    Dakotah Thornton
    Dakotah is the daughter of Barbara and Wayne Thornton of Lyman, Maine. Dakota was busy during high school as a class officer all four years, three as secretary and one year as senior class vice president. She has also participated in Culture Club, serving as vice president and secretary, and has been a two year member of the National Honor Society, serving as secretary her senior year. In addition, Dakota has been active in her church, participating in her church's young woman's program all four years and also in the Before School Seminary Program from which she will graduate. Freshmen year of high school, Dakota acted as manager of the basketball team and played for the team during her junior and senior years. Dakota will be attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, in the fall.

    Melissa Vigue
    Melissa is the daughter of Michelle and Michael Vigue of Waterboro, Maine. During high school, Melissa has participated in both fall and winter cheering, and has consistently been on the honor roll, and at times the high honor roll throughout high school. In addition, during her sophomore year she was named to the SMAA Second Team for cheering and all four years was named to the All Academic Team. Melissa will be attending Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts, in the fall.
