Graduation 2012

Twenty-six students graduated from Royal Academy of Gray on June 8th in an evening ceremony at First Parish Congregational Church in Yarmouth. Alana Saunders led seniors in the presentation of roses to their parents, Bryan Gagnon gave the invocation, and Alyssa Gadway read from the Bible. Tamami Okano spoke to fellow seniors on the topic of Looking Forward and presented class acknowledgements to parents, family, and friends on behalf of the Class of 2012. Royal Academy Director Shirley Minster presented the remarks and charge to the graduates. As is customary at every graduation, teachers Mrs. Sally Szostak and Mrs. Minster spoke about each student in her group. Then the parents were called forward to present the diploma to their son or daughter, signifying the important role of parents in the educational program of their children. Matthew Notaro led the students in the changing of the tassel and Develan Abbot gave the benediction.
