Graduating Seniors

Samuel Carlson lives in Portland. He is the son of Dale and Judy Carlson. He is a member of National Honor Society and has participated in chorus for 4 years. He has also participated in drama, soccer and Model U.N.. He enjoys playing drums and guitar, as well as working as a barista at Gloria Jean’s Coffees. He is currently planning to study Criminal Justice in college.

Emily Strout is a resident of Portland. Her parents are Glenn and Nancy Strout. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Throughout high school, she has participated in basketball, soccer, Drama Club, and Women’s Literary Union. She enjoys playing guitar and reading. She plans on attending Eastern University to major in music business with hopes of working in the music industry in the future.

Teresa Konczal is a resident of Scarborough. She is the daughter of Robert and Tamara Konczal. From a young age, she has been involved with music and theater, both at school and at church. She hopes to go into elementary education, to give children a good, solid, childhood, much like what she had. She owes much of this upbringing to her parents, who homeschooled her until her sophomore year of high school.

Anthony Simpson is a resident of Porter. He is the son of Steven and Beverly Simpson. He played soccer for 4 years and scored 30 goals this past season. He has been class treasurer for the past 2 years. He also played on the basketball team for 2 years. Anthony plans on attending the University of New England to become a Pharmacist.

Ben Hammond lives in South Portland. He is the oldest son of Kerry Hammond. He has two younger brothers. He has played soccer for all four of his high school years, two of which he was team captain. He was names to the Maine State Allstars as a senior. Ben also played basketball for 3 years. He is a member of the National Honor Society. Ben has his own lawn mowing business that he runs through the summer. Ben enjoys playing sports and has also played guitar for 5 years. Ben has been accepted and is planning on attending the University of New England in the fall.

Andrea Ruiz is a resident of Portland. Her parents are Daniel and Lorissa Ruiz. She is a member of the basketball, soccer, drama and music teams at her school. Andrea is a National Honor Society member, a National Hispanic Scholar, co-captain of the basketball team, and named to the Maine Soccer Regional All-star team. She enjoys singing on the worship team at church as well as assistant directing the musicals at school. In the fall Andrea plans to attend Central Christian College of Kansas majoring in Contemporary Christian Music.

Rebecca Gagnon lives in Pownal. Her parents are Jim and Lisa Gagnon. She has played the position of goalie in Varsity Soccer for 5 years. She enjoys hunting, fishing and mudding. She plans on attending USM and majoring in Biology.

Elizabeth Garland is a resident of Bridgton. She lives with her parents, Glen and Kathy Garland. She has participated in soccer, basketball and softball. She has been in the drama club since 8th grade, and in 10th grade she represented her school at Model U.N. She has been active in her community and church, and has been a volunteer firefighter for 4 years. This fall she plans to attend Cedarville University.

Jacob Rudolph is a resident of South Portland. He is the son of Kim and Dan Rudolph. He is a member of National Honor Society. He is the President of his class as well as the student council. He enjoys playing soccer. He has played piano for 10 years. He plans to study Business Administration at the Citadel in the fall.
