Slugger, the Portland Sea Dogs mascot, will hold a mascot boot camp from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at Hadlock Field. Participants will get a chance to see if they have what it takes to be a professional mascot, as well as to learn about Slugger’s background. Tickets are on sale for a pro-am boxing event headlined by Ryan Kielczewski (17-0) on Nov. 16 at the Portland Expo.
The event will also feature Portland Boxing Club fighters Russell Lamour and Jorge Abiague, among others.
Tickets are $50 for premium ringside seats, $35 for reserved ringside and $25 for general admission. They are available online at www.porttix.com, at the Merrill Auditorium box office and at Bruno’s Restaurant on Allen Avenue.
