Joe Apon, Portland, senior, center field: Apon batted .306 last season and will likely hit cleanup for the Bulldogs. He comes off a strong summer of American Legion baseball. 

Connor Aube, Falmouth, sophomore, center field: Aube had an all-conference type season in his first year on the varsity. He batted .372 with a slugging percentage of .581 and scored 15 runs. 

Danny Bock, York, junior, pitcher/first base: One of the top pitchers in the Western Maine Conference, Bock had a 5-1 record last season and beat Yarmouth in the Western Maine quarterfinals. 

Tim Brigham, Cape Elizabeth, junior, shortstop: Brigham had a .324 batting average with 12 RBI along with seven doubles, two triples and one home run. He had a strong summer playing American Legion baseball. 

Corey Brown, Biddeford, senior, catcher: A three-year starter, Brown led the Tigers in batting with a .298 average. He had four doubles and a homer. Strong defensively, he has made only one error in two years. 

Chandler Crans, Camden Hills, senior, pitcher: Crans will be the Windjammers’ No. 1 pitcher. He has experience pitching and winning big games. He also swings a strong bat.

Will D’Agostino, Falmouth, senior, shortstop: One of the top shortstops in the state, D’Agostino had a .339 average with 21 hits and 10 RBI. He will bat third. He plans on playing baseball next season for Holy Cross College. 

Felix del Vecchio, Cheverus, senior, shortstop: He led Cheverus in RBI while batting .320. A veteran player, del Vecchio is the anchor of the Stags’ infield and a key in getting the team back near the top of the league standings. 

Nick Emmons, Kennebunk senior, pitcher/shortstop: Emmons is a four-year starter. He batted .408 to tie for sixth in the SMAA batting race. Emmons led the league in doubles with eight and was fourth in total bases with 30. He will play next season at Franklin Pierce. 

Alex Fallon, Thornton Academy, senior, third base: Fallon is a three-year starter for the Golden Trojans. He batted .407 to rank in the top 10 last season in the league while his seven doubles was second-best in the SMAA. 

Tyler Flayhan, Sanford, senior, outfield/pitcher: Flayhan is a three-year starter who moves from infield to outfield. He has worked hard in the offseason to build his strength. Flayhan is expected to see more action on the mound. 

Robert Graff, South Portland, senior, pitcher/third base: Graff begins his third season as a starter. He has an excellent curveball and a sneaky fastball. He was 2-1 last season as he missed some games because of arm soreness.

Ben Greenberg, Scarborough, senior, pitcher/infield: Greenberg was the Maine Sunday Telegram’s Player of the Year last season. He went 6-0 with a 0.54 ERA in the regular season. He batted .415 and led the SMAA in triples with five. He will attend Fordham on a baseball scholarship. 

Nick Greatorex, Gorham, senior, outfield: He batted .330 last season and was selected to the all-SMAA team. 

Kyle Heath, Westbrook, senior, catcher: He led the SMAA in batting last year with a .444 average as the Blue Blazes won the state title. Heath is also an outstanding defensive catcher who made only one error last season. He is a four-year starter. 

Spencer Hodge, Windham, senior, pitcher/catcher: Hodge has proven to be a key utility player for the Eagles over the past two seasons. Now he will be the team’s top pitcher and one of its top hitters. He was 2-0 on the mound and had a .271 average last season.

Collin Joyce, Westbrook, senior, shortstop: Joyce begins his third season as a starter. He helped the Blue Blazes win the state title. He led the team in RBI and stolen bases, and was named to the SMAA all-conference team. 

Cole Merritt, York, junior, catcher: Merritt batted .391 and knocked in 17 runs. He was one of the Wildcats’ top players down the stretch in the team’s drive to the Class B state title.

Noah McDaniel, Marshwood, junior, shortstop: McDaniel batted .413 to finish fifth in the SMAA last season. His 20 RBI ranked second in the league. He will bat in the heart of the Hawks’ lineup. 

Connor Pease, Wells, senior, catcher/pitcher: Pease hit for a .370 average last season. He has the power to go deep. Pease is a left-hander but he’s slated to be the team’s starting catcher. He caught a few games last season. 

Mitchell Powers, Cheverus, senior, pitcher/infield: Powers will be the Stags’ No. 1 pitcher. He had a 2-2 record with a 2.73 ERA. He batted .370 last season. Powers appears to have his arm problems behind him and is primed for a big season. 

Zach Quintal, Marshwood, junior, pitcher/infield: Quintal made only one error at third base last season. A threat on the bases with his speed, Quintal didn’t get thrown out trying to steal last year and scored 19 runs, which tied for third in the SMAA. 

Connor Russell, Greely, senior, pitcher: The left-hander had a 6-0 record last season with a 0.82 ERA with 60 strikeouts in 34 innings. He will attend Bates College in the fall. 

J.T. Tobin, Oceanside, senior, catcher: Tobin is outstanding behind the plate with a strong arm. He made only three errors in 120 chances and threw out eight runners. He batted .300. 

Bailey Train, Greely, senior, pitcher/outfield: Train hit .435 with five homers and 25 RBI. As a pitcher, he had a 5-2 record with a 1.31 ERA. Train will attend Massachusetts on a baseball scholarship.
