The Huskies Open tennis tournament will be held Saturday and Sunday at Lewiston High School. The tournament benefits the University of Southern Maine’s men’s and women’s tennis programs, as well as a project to help rebuild Lewiston’s eight-court facility. The A&J Open tennis tournament will be played June 21-23 at the Waynflete Tennis Complex in Portland. Sanctioned by the Maine Tennis Association, the tournament offers competition in men’s open singles and doubles, women’s open singles, open mixed doubles, and men’s 35-and-over and 55-and-over singles.  For more information or to post entries, contact Don Atkinson at datkinso@Mainerr.com. The Knights Charge, a fundraiser for the Poland High football team, will be held Saturday at Harvest Hill Farms in Mechanic Falls. The 5-kilometer race features a mud crawl under ropes, climbs over boulders and walls, and a swim across the farm pond to name a few of the obstacles.
