ORONO — The University of Maine scored three times in the third period and Meghann Treacy made 32 saves as the Black Bears finished a weekend sweep of Hockey East rival New Hampshire with a 3-1 win at Alfond Arena Sunday afternoon.

Kayla Kaluzny scored at 6:16 and Audra Richards struck at 12:45 as Maine (5-16-5, 3-10-3) took a 2-0 lead.

Heather Kashman got one back for the Wildcats (9-16-2, 4-9-2) on the power play with 2:39 to go, but Karissa Kirkup’s empty-netter sealed it with 1:45 left.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

(2) NOTRE DAME 88, (3) DUKE 67: Kayla McBride had 23 points and 11 rebounds, and Notre Dame remained unbeaten by handing Duke its first ACC loss at home since 2008.

Jewell Loyd added 17 points for the Irish (21-0, 8-0), who shot nearly 62 percent and held the Blue Devils to 39 percent.

Tricia Liston scored 23 points for Duke (21-2, 8-1).

(4) STANFORD 79, (21) CALIFORNIA 64: Chiney Ogwumike had 29 points, eight rebounds and four assists and Stanford (21-1, 10-0 Pac 12) ran its winning streak to 20 by beating host California (14-7, 6-4).

(5) LOUISVILLE 79, SOUTH FLORIDA 59: Tia Gibbs had 19 points, hitting five 3-pointers, to help host Louisville (22-1, 10-0 AAC) beat South Florida (11-10, 6-4) for its 15th straight win.

MIAMI 83, (6) NORTH CAROLINA 80: Adrienne Motley scored a career-high 27 points, and Keyona Hayes added 14, including a crucial second-chance layup with a minute left, leading the Hurricanes (12-10, 4-5 ACC) at North Carolina (17-5, 5-3).

(7) SOUTH CAROLINA 78, MISSOURI 62: Tiffany Mitchell scored 20 points as host South Carolina (20-2, 8-1 SEC) beat Missouri (14-8, 3-6) to reach 20 wins for the third straight year.

(8) MARYLAND 89, SYRACUSE 64: Freshman Lexie Brown scored a season-high 31 points, going 7 of 8 from beyond the arc, to lead Maryland (17-4, 5-3 ACC) at Syracuse (16-6, 5-4).

(10) TENNESSEE 64, ALABAMA 54: Cierra Burdick scored 21 points and Tennessee (18-4, 7-2 SEC) rallied to a win at Alabama (10-12, 3-6).

MEN’S BASKETBALL

INDIANA 63, (10) MICHIGAN 52: Yogi Ferrell scored 27 points, hitting seven 3-pointers in eight tries, to lead unranked Indiana (14-8, 4-5 Big Ten) to an upset of visiting Michigan (16-5, 8-1).

Noah Vonleh added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Hoosiers, who shot 54 percent to the Wolverines’ 40 percent.

(13) CINCINNATI 50, SOUTH FLORIDA 45: Sean Kilpatrick scored 10 of his 18 points in the closing minutes, rallying host Cincinnati (21-2, 10-0 AAC) to its 14th straight victory.

VIRGINIA 48, (18) PITTSBURGH 45: Malcolm Brogdon made a last-second 3-pointer to give Virginia (17-5, 8-1 ACC) a win at Pittsburgh (18-4, 6-3).
