Coyotes call up Pirate forwards

The parent Phoenix Coyotes called up forwards Chris Brown and Chris Conner from the Portland Pirates following the trade Wednesday of three veteran forwards.

Brown, a rookie from Flower Mound, Texas, has scored a team-high 25 goals and had 15 assists in 63 games with the Pirates.

Conner, a veteran who has already appeared in 147 NHL games, has scored 13 goals and has 27 assists in 60 games with the Pirates.
