AUBURN — Sadie Cole kicked in the game-winner with 3:23 left in the second overtime to give fourth-seeded Waynflete a 2-1 victory over No. 2 St. Dominick’s Academy in the Western Class C girls soccer championship Wednesday afternoon.

The Flyers (11-2-4) move on to the state championship Saturday at Scarborough High, against East champion Fort Kent (13-3-1). The Saints are done at 14-2-1.

St. Dom’s took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a Faith Grady goal.

Waynflete tied it 49 seconds into the second half, when Arianna Giguere buried a crossing pass from Isabel Agnew.

The game remained tied with Waynflete’s Julianna Harwood and St. Dom’s Kelly Pomerleau both playing superb in goal.

In the second overtime, Giguere crossed a pass into the box, where Cole launched a shot that tucked under the crossbar.
