SCARBOROUGH — Ahmed Ali scored 12 points in the third quarter to highlight a 27-13 run as Deering rallied for an 88-72 win over Scarborough in an SMAA boys’ basketball game Friday night.

Ali led the Rams (9-5) with 21 points. Benedict Williams scored 16 and Liam Densmore added 15 for Deering, which trailed 41-36 at halftime.

Matt Hartl provided Scarborough (7-7) with 24 points, Milani Hicks scored 18 and Nate Wessel had 14.

 

NOBLE 75, WESTBROOK 72: Gray Waterman scored 26 points for Noble (8-6), which rallied past Westbrook (3-11) at North Berwick.

Sean Jackson added 17 points and Brady Dodge had 15 for the Knights, who shot 13 of 29 from 3-point range.

Aquoi Alexander scored 25 points and Demetrious Hoskins finished with 16 for the Blue Blazes, who led 61-57 entering the fourth quarter.

 

SOUTH PORTLAND 74, WINDHAM 64: Jordin Jackson scored 21 points to pace the Red Riots (6-7) to a win over the Eagles (6-8) at Windham.

Kam Harper added 17 points for the Red Riots.

Markus D’Andrea scored 19 points and Kevin Weisser had 17 for the Eagles.

MARSHWOOD 54, CHEVERUS 50: Drew Bartlett made four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points as the Hawks (5-8) held off the Stags (6-7) at Portland.

Brady Innes and Ryan O’Neil added 12 and 11 points, respectively, for Marshwood, which led by nine points going into the fourth quarter.

Cheverus was paced by Noah Stebbins with 15 points and Zordan Holman with 10.

 

GORHAM 58, MASSABESIC 44: Nick Thibeault scored 19 points and Corey Nadeau had 14 as the Rams (6-8) downed the Mustangs (3-10) at Gorham.

Nick Greatorex and Sam Kilborn each finished with nine points for the Rams, who pulled away with a 17-4 run in the second quarter.

Daniel Amabile finished with 14 points for the Mustangs.

 

SANFORD 75, BIDDEFORD 45: John Morgan scored 19 points for the Spartans (9-5) in a win over the Tigers (0-14) at Sanford.

Jordan Tranchemontagne added 14 points and Evyn Nolette chipped in with 10.

Biddeford got 13 points from Terrence McCann and 11 from Corey Creeger.

MT. ARARAT 73, LAWRENCE 60: Mason Griffin scored 25 points as the Eagles (7-7) rallied for a win over the Bulldogs (7-7) at Topsham.

Shyheim Ulrickson added 23 points for Mt. Ararat, which outscored Lawrence 24-8 in the second quarter to erase a seven-point first-quarter deficit.

 

BRUNSWICK 55, LEWISTON 29: Blake Gordon scored 21 points to lead the Dragons (9-5) to a win at Lewiston (5-9).

Ryan Black added 10 points, and Elliot Boyd had five points and nine rebounds.

MORSE 55, ERSKINE ACADEMY 27: Ethan Winglass scored 18 points and the Shipbuilders (12-3) used defensive pressure in the second half to pull away from the Eagles (0-14) at Bath.

WELLS 44, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 42: Jake Moody scored nine of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, then added four in overtime to boost the host Warriors (5-8) over the Raiders (7-6).

Fryeburg’s Ryan Gullickson hit a tying 3-pointer with seven seconds left in regulation. Alex Blake scored 11 points for the Raiders.

 

CAPE ELIZABETH 63, YORK 46: Justin Guerette scored 16 points to lead the Capers (10-3) past the visiting Wildcats (7-6).

Eddie Galvin and Jack O’Rourke each added 13 points, and Ethan Murphy had 12 for Cape Elizabeth.

Michael Gallagher scored 16 points for York. Mack MacGlashing finished with 10.

 

FALMOUTH 55, KENNEBUNK 39: Jack Simonds scored 19 points to lift the Yachtsmen (12-1) over the Rams (3-10) at Kennebunk.

Nick Burton added 13 points and Collin Coyne scored 10 for Falmouth.

The Rams were led by Austin Sandler with 12 points and Jack Lapham with 11.

WAYNFLETE 69, TRAIP ACADEMY 48: Serge Nyirikamba scored 21 points, and Henry Cleaves added 16 points and eight rebounds as the Flyers (11-2) pulled away from the Rangers (2-11) in the second half at Portland.

Daniel Tokarz led Traip with 10 points.

 

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 66, BOOTHBAY REGION 64: Deonte Ring scored 26 points and also had five steals as the Phoenix (13-2) held off the Seahawks (13-2) at Jay.

Boothbay, which nearly erased an 18-point deficit, was led by John Hepburn with 19 points.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 62, RICHMOND 40: Chase Gendron scored 22 points and collected eight rebounds as the Panthers (10-3) beat the Bobcats (9-6) at Richmond,

El Tayeb Dahia added 14 points, and Jackson Cohan-Smith had four assists and six steals.

 

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 37, ACADIA CHRISTIAN 25: Ethan Spaulding scored the first seven points and finished with 13 as the Lions (2-12) beat the Seahawks (0-10) at Saco.

 

NORTH HAVEN 59, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 34: Ethan Mao scored 20 points, and Aidan Emerson made five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points as the Hawks (12-1) beat the Guardians (7-5) at South Berwick.

The Guardians were led by Logan Archer with 14 points.
