SANFORD — Liz Helmreich scored two minutes into overtime Tuesday night to give Sanford (7-7) a 1-0 victory against Gorham (7-6-1) in an SMAA field hockey game.

Marissa Nance assisted on the goal, which trickled in as Gorham keeper Megan Baker attempted to kick it out. Baker finished with 17 saves.

Sarah Goldthwaite made eight saves for the shutout.

WINDHAM 4, BIDDEFORD 0: Hannah Skvorak scored three goals to propel the Eagles (5-9) past the Tigers (7-7) at Biddeford.

Matti Marcello also scored.

Tyra Boucher made eight saves for the shutout.

Mackenzie Hevey finished with nine saves for Biddeford.

LAKE REGION 2, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Lucy Fowler scored both goals to lift the Lakers (10-4) over the Hawks (1-11-1) at South Hiram.

Chloe Ronco made 20 saves for Sacopee Valley. Meg VanLoan needed three saves for the shutout.

YARMOUTH 3, WINDHAM 0: Kristina Borderia had eight kills and Grace Mallet served 11 aces as the Clippers (11-1) downed the Eagles (3-9) at Yarmouth.

Ashley Boyle had 11 digs for Windham.
