OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Sophie Lamb scored six of her eight points in the second overtime Saturday to lead Wells to a 65-61 victory against Old Orchard Beach in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl basketball game.

Alison Furness scored 26 points, including 14 in the first quarter, when Wells (9-1) took a 20-9 lead.

Old Orchard Beach (5-3) rallied from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter, when Kelsey Custeau scored nine of her 16 points. Custeau also hit a tying free throw at the end of the first overtime.

Lauralee Small and Julia Fregeau each added 10 points for Old Orchard.

GREELY 55, FALMOUTH 44: Haley Felkel nailed two 3-pointers and Ashley Storey scored eight of her 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Rangers (8-2) pulled away from Falmouth (2-8) at Cumberland.

Felkel finished with 13 points.

Ally Hickey scored 18 points for Falmouth, which trailed 36-34 entering the fourth quarter.

CAPE ELIZABETH 41, YARMOUTH 30: The Capers (6-4) used a 16-2 run in the fourth quarter to rally past the Clippers (3-6) at Yarmouth.

Maddie Bowe led Cape Elizabeth with 12 points. The Clippers got 12 points from Lane Simsarian.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 46, NORTH HAVEN 39: Clarissa Jones had 21 points and 18 rebounds before leaving with an injury in the third quarter, and the Lions (3-5) held on at North Haven (0-10).

Jessica Smith added a career-high 11 points for the Lions.

Maddie Hallowell scored 13 points and Samantha Sparhawk had 12 for the Hawks.

PINE TREE ACADEMY 48, HYDE 27: Alex Goodman had a triple-double to lead Pine Tree Academy (6-2) over Hyde (1-6) at Freeport.

Goodman scored 19 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and had 15 steals. Kim Emerson added 14 rebounds for Pine Tree.

WAYNFLETE 53, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 28: Leigh Fernandez scored 13 points and Juliana Harwood added 12 as the Flyers (5-3) downed the Panthers (4-5) at Yarmouth.

Fernandez had nine points in the second quarter as Waynflete outscored NYA 17-4 to take a 29-11 halftime lead.

Charlotte Esancy made two 3-pointers and finished with 10 points to pace the Panthers.

YORK 76, KENNEBUNK 20: Shannon Todd scored 15 points and Chloe Smedley added 10 to lead the Wildcats (7-3) over the Rams (0-10) at York.

Todd and Smedley combined for 17 points in the first quarter as York built a 28-0 lead.

MT. ARARAT 58, BRUNSWICK 43: Caitlin LaFountain scored 24 points to lead the Eagles (1-10) over the Dragons (7-3) at Brunswick.

Lindsey Cornelison added 12 points and Sara Lamb had 11 for Mt. Ararat, which took a 15-9 lead in the first quarter and never trailed.

Julia Champagne scored 13 points and Lyse Henshaw had 10 for the Dragons.

FREEPORT 58, TRAIP ACADEMY 23: Nina Davenport scored 25 points to pace the Falcons (4-6) past the Rangers (3-5) at Kittery.

Jessica Wall added 12 points for Freeport, which broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring Traip 22-3 for a 41-10 halftime lead.

RANGELEY 65, VINALHAVEN 28: Tori Letarte had 14 points as the Lakers (9-0) cruised past the Vikings (6-7) at Rangeley.

Seve Deery-DeRaps added 13 points, and Blayke Morin had six points and seven rebounds for Rangeley.

Ashley Hamilton scored 10 points for Vinalhaven.

HOCKEY

FALMOUTH 4, CHEVERUS 0: Caroline Proctor scored two goals to lead Falmouth (7-4) to a win over Cheverus (6-5-1) at Family Ice Center.

The Yachtsmen netted three goals in the first period. Proctor opened the scoring 5:41 into the contest, followed by Marcy Kittredge and Lucy Meyer.

Ally Hurdman needed just eight saves for the shutout.

CAPE ELIZABETH/WAYNFLETE 6, YORK 1: Katherine Clark scored four goals as Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete (5-6) beat York (1-9) at Portland Ice Arena.

Clark notched a hat trick in the first period to give her team a 3-1 lead. Goalie Lily Jordan shut out the Wildcats over the final two periods to secure the win.

BIDDEFORD 6, PORTLAND/DEERING 1: Katherine Dumoulin scored four goals to lead the Tigers (8-4) to a win at Biddeford Ice Arena.

Taylor Turgeon and Brea Rivard also scored for Biddeford, and Suzette Lamoureux had three assists.

Lauren McIntyre scored in the third period for Portland/Deering (0-12).

FRIDAY’S GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

CHEVERUS 51, SANFORD 39: Georgia Ford scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, to pace the Stags (7-3) past the Spartans (3-7) at Portland.

Jess Willerson added 13 points for Cheverus, which raced out to a 27-14 lead after one quarter.

Shelby Paiement scored 16 points for Sanford.

GORHAM 58, WESTBROOK 37: Emily Esposito scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Rams (6-4) over the Blue Blazes (3-7) at Gorham.

THORNTON ACADEMY 53, NOBLE 24: Olivia Shaw finished with 16 points and nine rebounds to lead the Trojans (8-1) past the Knights (0-9) at North Berwick.
