High school roundup: Yarmouth upends Brunswick in overtime

David Clemmer’s goal gives the Clippers a 5-4 boys’ hockey victory.

YARMOUTH — David Clemmer banged in the rebound of an Isaak Dearden shot 1:36 into overtime, giving Yarmouth a 5-4 win over Brunswick in a boys’ hockey game Wednesday night at Travis Roy Arena.

Patrick Grant led Yarmouth (1-1) with three goals and two assists.

Ryan Maciejewski scored twice for the Dragons (1-1).

KENNEBUNK 5, GREELY 1: Bryce Fraser put in two of four power-play goals for the Rams (2-0) in a victory over Greely (0-1) at Biddeford.

YORK 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: Nick Walsh scored two power-play goals in the third period, including the winner with 45 seconds remaining as the Wildcats (1-0) beat the Capers at Dover, N.H.

Matt Riggle and Eli Breed staked Cape Elizabeth to a 2-0 lead in the second period. Adam Jannetti started York’s comeback later in the second.

CAMDEN HILLS 12, LEAVITT 1: Grayson Szumilas netted four goals and assisted on two others to help power the Windjammers (2-0) past Leavitt (1-1) in Rockport.

Kiernan Lydon added three goals.

NOBLE/WELLS 11, WESTBROOK 0: Dean Pratt scored five goals and Chullainn Kelly also notched a hat trick as Noble/Wells (2-0) dominated Westbrook (0-2) in Rochester, N.H.

GIRLS’ HOCKEY

YARMOUTH/FREEPORT 3, GREELY 2: Michelle Robichaud, Emily Johnson and Ariel Potter each had a goal as Yarmouth/Freeport (6-0) scored once in each period to edge Greely (3-1) in Falmouth.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

GREELY 55, FREEPORT 46: Blais Tardiff scored 11 of her 25 points in the fourth quarter as the Rangers (1-1) held off Freeport (0-2) in Cumberland.

Freeport’s Nina Davenport finished with 27 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 58, BUCKFIELD 24: Haley Plante sank two 3-pointers and also made two steals during a 19-2 run in the second quarter as the Seagulls (2-0) pulled away from the Bucks (0-3) 19-2 in Old Orchard Beach.

Abby Dubois paced OOB with 13 points.

OXFORD HILLS 59, MT. ARARAT 42: Anna Winslow’s 10 first-half points helped the Vikings (1-1) open a 25-12 halftime lead over Mt. Ararat (0-2) in South Paris.

Caitlin LaFountain scored 12 points for the Eagles.

DIRIGO 36, BOOTHBAY 34: Megan Crocker scored 23 points for Boothbay (1-1) in a loss to the Cougars (2-0) at Boothbay Harbor.

PINE TREE ACADEMY 54, HEBRON ACADEMY 19: Kim Emerson finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Breakers (2-0) beat the Lumberjacks (0-1) at Hebron.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

GREELY 92, FREEPORT 31: Michael McDevitt scored 26 points for Greely (2-0) during a victory over the Falcons (0-2) in Freeport.

Connor Hanley added 17 points and Gabe Axelsen had 10.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 79, BUCKFIELD 33: Eric Hogan scored all nine of his points during the first quarter, helping the Seagulls (2-0) open a 23-10 lead over Buckfield (0-2) in Old Orchard Beach.

Joe Gildart finished with 14 points for OOB.

DIRIGO 48, BOOTHBAY 46: Riley Robinson worked his way through the lane and scored with five seconds on the clock, lifting the Cougars (2-0) over the Seahawks (0-1) in Boothbay Harbor.

Dylan Kidder led the Cougars with 19 points. John Hepburn had 20 points and 13 rebounds for Boothbay.

MADISON 61, WISCASSET 57: Ty Cowan scored eight of his 24 points during the fourth quarter, helping the Bulldogs (2-1) rally past Wiscasset (2-1) in Madison.

Dale Peaslee scored 14 for Wiscasset.
